Guidelines for Recycling Pickup

bin

The City of Oak Hill contracts for twice-a-week "backdoor" recycling service. Paper, small cardboard, cans and plastics can be commingled into one bag and placed in the recycling bin. Boxes should be flattened. You can put in glass, but it should be collected separately in a plastic bag. Tie the bags closed and put them in the bin on collection days.

Households receive one free 32-gallon recycling bin per address. You can purchase additional bins at cost: a 25-gallon bin with lid is $11.62. If you want additional bins, please bring or mail your payment to the City office, and the bins will be delivered to you.
