CodeRED

The last five calls made by Oak Hill using the CodeRED system are available for viewing. The nature of the alert, date, time, a map of the area affected and the option to listen to the message are all features included in the widget.

The widget is simple to use. Just move your mouse to hover over the alert you are seeking more information about and click the “Listen to message” button to receive the detailed message.

By SIGNING UP with CodeRED Weather Warning, you are providing your family with a unique safety service that automatically calls you when your area is in the path of severe weather. You can sign up for one or all of these categories: Tornado Warnings, Flash Flood Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.

Residents may also choose to sign up for CodeRED general notifications. These notifications are initiated by Oak Hill staff to cover information that they feel may be important to you. Topics include nearby Planning and Board of Zoning Appeals cases, road construction, and public safety alerts.

The CodeRED system now offers a mobile alert application, which allows the City to send notifications to Oak Hill residents and others in the area who have downloaded the application. As an added bonus, subscribers will receive emergency notifications when traveling outside of Oak Hill, whether in Tennessee or any other state where a notification is sent through CodeRED.
